POTKLOR

Potklor syrup is used for the treatment and prevention of low levels of potassium (hypokalemia). It is also used in conditions of electrolyte imbalance of potassium or potassium loss as a result of diarrhoea, vomiting or as a side effect of certain medicines.

Potklor oral solution contains Potassium Chloride which is used to prevent and treat the low levels of potassium in the body.    Potassium is a normal dietary constituent and under healthy conditions, the amount of potassium absorbed in the body is equal to the amount excreted in the urine. Potassium depletion can occur whenever the rate of potassium loss exceeds the rate of potassium intake. Potassium depletion usually develops as a consequence of therapy with diuretics, in patients with diabetic ketoacidosis, or in case of severe diarrhea, especially if associated with vomiting. Low levels of Potassium in the body may lead to weakness, fatigue, disturbances in cardiac rhythm, prominent U-waves in the ECG, nausea, vomiting, numbness and tingling sensation.   Thus, Potklor oral solution improves the levels of potassium in the blood and prevents the symptoms associated with the low-levels of potassium in the body.   Directions of use:  Take Potklor oral solution with a full glass of water. Take the medicine with food or just after a meal.
